A film essay, "Notes On A Siren" weaves classical mythology with contemporary explorations of Black, queer, and trans identity. Presented by Palm Heights Resort and Something Curated, this groundbreaking work is both deeply personal and artistically daring, with Jones serving as both director and performer in a thought-provoking meditation on transformation, becoming, and African ancestry.
Academically, the film has been preserved in the UCLA Film & Television Archive, screened at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York City, and recognized as a foundational text by the Haitian Studies Association. At its symposium at UC Santa Barbara, Jones presented a lecture titled "The Archive as an Altar", accompanied by a screening of the film."
